There is definitely more tension in the air. I can smell it. It’s visible as you walk down the street, drive your car, meet people on Zoom for the tenth time that day. It feels as though the slightest push could be a push too far. With so much confusion still lurking, fear of what’s being lost, lack of security and the mass grieving process we’re in, it’s understandable why the tension is so palpable.

Whilst we cannot change what is outside of us, we can all be better at self-regulating; the awareness and ability to take a beat between thought and action. 

A recent study from Oxford University suggests that there is a greater need for us all to be better able to regulate our mood and our emotions but that our capacity to do this during a global crisis is lessened significantly.
